MSP@20 celebration
The Museum Studies Program is celebrating our 20 year anniversary. We will begin on Thursday, March 16 with a keynote presentation by our Visiting Scholar, Cara Krmpotich, Associate Professor and museum anthropologist, faculty of Information, and Director of the Museum Studies Program at the University of Toronto. Cara will give a lecture, The Seduction, Refusal, and Retention of Universality in Collections Care, at the Rackham Graduate School Assembly Hall at 5:00 pm. We hope that you can join us.
On Friday, March 17, we will be moderating several panel discussions featuring some of our alumni and current students. Panelists will be discussing topics such as decolonization, museum education, community engagement, stewardship, and curation. These discussions will also be held at Rackham.
Please see this flyer which includes additional details about the upcoming events including the specific times and titles for each of the panel discussions. We hope that you can join us for our keynote presentation on Thursday or at one of Friday’s panels to help us celebrate 20 years of our Program!
