Public programs facilitate dialogue between academics and professionals, informing scholarship and strengthening practice.
Multiple day conferences, year-long colloquia, individual lectures, “conversations” between individuals, hands-on workshops, and Museums at Noon talks featuring our graduate students all contribute to the remarkable richness of MSP offerings.
Video recordings of some MSP lectures are archived for viewing in our Media Gallery.

The Art of Tyree Guyton: A Thirty-Year Journey
August 22, 2015
Detroit artist Tyree Guyton has been active in the Detroit community for 30 years. His most well-known installations are the houses along two blocks of Detroit’s Heidelberg Street, and Guyton’s smaller works completed in his studio complement these outdoor installations. A collection of his works will be on display at the UM Museum of Art through January 3, 2016. A second collection of his work, themed “What Time is It?” is on display in GalleryDAAS, and this exhibition runs through November 6.
