Nov 10 event – To Amphipolis and Back Again: Crisis Management, Heritage Politics, and Grassroots Activism as “New Heritage” in Greece

November 10 at 6:30 pm, UM Museum of Art auditorium:  Anthropologist Despina Margomenou will discuss the “Greek crisis” and its effect on the national and cultural identity and understandings of Greek heritage.  Her lecture will explore the impact of the crisis on archaeology, museums, and heritage management and the complexity of heritage politics within “the crisis” setting.
