Public programs facilitate dialogue between academics and professionals, informing scholarship and strengthening practice.

Multiple day conferences, year-long colloquia, individual lectures, “conversations” between individuals, hands-on workshops, and Museums at Noon talks featuring our graduate students all contribute to the remarkable richness of MSP offerings.

Video recordings of some MSP lectures are archived for viewing in our Media Gallery.

Exhibit tour at UMMA – “A Gathering”

March 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join MSP for a guided tour of “A Gathering,” currently on display at UMMA. The works on view in this exhibition, all brought into the Museum between 2019 and the present, shows how institutions like UMMA are becoming more permeable to societal challenges, and more nimble in responding to them in service to all in their communities. In this exhibition you will find works that reflect on how global migrations, race, gender, and ecological change shape the way we engage with the world and inform our visions for the future.

The tour will be led by the curator of the exhibit, our own Félix Zamora Gómez (MSP16), Irving Stenn, Jr. Fellow in Public Humanities & Museum Pedagogy.

Register in advance for the tour (space is limited).
