UMMAA at 100 international conference
UMMAA’s International Conference, UMMAA at 100: Michigan’s Mark – Past, Present Future, will be held September 29-October 2, 2022.
The University of Michigan Museum of Anthropological Archaeology (UMMAA) was founded in 1922. Over the course of a century, its curators, students, and staff have made indelible marks on archaeological theory and practice the world over. At the “UMMAA at 100” conference we will take time to celebrate these accomplishments, consider the current state of the discipline, and chart possible futures. Where has archaeology been, and where is it going? What roles will UMMAA and its legacy play in defining archaeology for the next 100 years.
