Student kudos!

Kudos to… Lucy Smith (MSP18) who is a recent recipient of the Jack and Jeannie Thompson Humanities Internship.  The internship allowed Lucy to further develop skills outside the traditional academic arena through working at the MATRIX Digital Humanities Lab at Michigan State University.  Here she was able to develop skills in connecting public history and outreach with traditional academic communities through review of a database that aims to create life narratives of enslaved people.  Additional information about Lucy’s work can be found here.
