“Enabling Richer Access to the World’s Images” conference, Nov 4-7

The International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) showcase and working group meeting will be hosted jointly by the University of Michigan Library and ITHAKA.

Through IIIF, hundreds of Universities, Libraries, and special collections have created a way to share their high quality content with their specific audiences.

Anyone with an image collection, or those building sites or software that works with images – especially search and discovery from lots of different image providers – could learn a lot from this community meeting.  This event will be valuable for cultural heritage practitioners, STEM institutions, repository and collection managers, software engineers, or for anyone engaged with image-based or A/V resources on the Web.

Sessions will be held at various locations on UM’s central campus, November 4 – 7.  Click here for additional details.
