DIA’s former director, Graham Beal, to receive honorary degree from UM

We congratulate Graham Beal, the recently retired director, president and chief executive officer of the Detroit Institute of Arts and currently the Hannah Visiting Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University for the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree that he will be receiving at Winter Commencement.  Beal has collaborated with MSP throughout the years in many ways including multiple guest lectures in the proseminar, speaking presentations in several of our lecture series, mentoring several of our interns, and facilitating many behind-the-scenes tours of the DIA for several cohorts.  The full story about Graham can be read here.
