Guest curator opportunity at UMMA for UM students
The University of Michigan Museum of Art is launching a pilot program where students can apply to be guest curators for a virtual exhibition on Instagram. This is a new, pilot program where the selected students will spend 8 weeks working directly with UMMA curators, online content developers, and artists on developing an exhibition that will take place on the UMMA Instagram account and UMMA website. UMMA will be selecting two students to become Guest Instagram Curators. Selected students will receive a $2,000 personal stipend and have access to a budget of an additional to $2,000 to pay directly to artists. Exhibition development will take place over the course of a fixed two-month period in collaboration with UMMA staff and the artists of your choice.
Additional information and application instructions can be found here.
The application deadline is May 23.
