Pay rate: $25 per hour
Hours: 10-12 hours per week. Additionally, there is likely up to 5 hours per week of work for 2-3 weeks before program conclusion
Job Description: The LSA Division of Undergraduate Education is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Facilitator for Foundations of DEI in the Workplace, a 10-hour training for student employees in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. The workshops will take place in 2 cohorts with 5 2-hour sessions, each covering topics such as: Social identities, Professional identities, Privilege, Oppression, Unconscious Bias, Racism & Anti-Racism, Allyship, and Sustaining the Work through Self- and Community-Care. Sessions will take place Wednesdays 3-5 PM (October 4-November 1, 2023) and Fridays 1-3 PM (October 6-November 3, 2023). Candidates MUST be available for these dates and times to be considered for this opportunity. The chosen candidate can expect to spend about 10-12 hours per week in organization, preparation and facilitation during the weeks of the program. Additionally, there is likely up to 5 hours per week of work for 2-3 weeks prior to and concluding the program. This is a temporary position that concludes when the work is completed no later than the end of fall term 2023.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for facilitating these DEI workshops, promoting open dialogue about diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace among participants, and fostering an inclusive environment within the cohorts.
